First Day of School

I was uploading my photos from school today onto the laptop to back them up incase I lost them and the laptop had a freak out and corrupted and deleted them. Oh the irony.

My temperature was down today (a perfect 37.5) so Asad said I could go to school. Yay. I would have been bored to tears if I had to stay inside another day.

I am teaching the year one class who are so cute but there english is limited. This morning we did addition in maths and sea animals in environmental studies. We need to be at school at 7:30am and we get a break from 12-1. at 1pm we have 'clubs' which are different every day of the week. Today was scouts and Maddie, Candice, Lucy, Cob and I taught some of the boys Waltzing Matilda.

I think swimming lessons are 2:30-4:30pm but we havn't been allowed to teach swimming because of the sickness going around. From 8:30-9:30pm half of us go back to school to teach some of the parents to speak english and then we alternate with the other half.

This is a pic of Ali and lots of tuna. Less than 10 people live on this tiny island. After visiting I understood why tuna is in pretty much every meal bar breakfast.

Today was such a nice day and I am so tired. I am going to eat dinner quickly, take my drugs and go straight to sleep!

I'll try and get some snaps of the kids and school in the next few days and not lose them.
